The Film Industry -
- the studio investor or producer buys the right to source such as an idea, book or a story.
- a screenwriter converts this idea into a script
- the script is then edited and finalised by the script doctors
- director, screenwriter, producer, editor, art director meet to ensure they are all on the same page.
- Script is then put into a story board by the illustrators to help the director visualise the scenes.
- costume designers create the costumes.
- casting directors audition and negotiate with the actors and agents to decide the cast
- location, crew, lots of logistics are decided.
- director oversees everything and works with producers and turns storyboard into scenes to shoot
- production design team create the overall visual feel and aesthetics, costume, make up, set design
- cinematographer oversees everything with cameras and lights and helps with aesthetic designers
- make up artists work with costume designer and director to make the actors/ actresses fit their role better.
- actors and actresses then fulfil their roles and hope for nomination
- music editors
- sound editors prepare what will go into the final making
- wound mixers combine dialogue, sound effects and music tracks to create the final soundtrack
- film editors edit the scenes and create a final movie and add visual effects.
